My BMI was 52% down to under 35% now. I'm sure I'm building muscle as the scales haven't moved much in ages. I need get working on my diet to change things. Got 13kg to surgeon goal. After seeing dietician I'm not so focused on BMI as wanting to be fit and food uner control, to have more shape and less jiggly bits

Hi DellyMC,

Goodluck! I am also hoping to lose about 70kg. I haven't met with a surgeon yet, but will hopefully do so in the next month.

hi i am only 154.94 (5 ft 1) and at the beginning of last year i was almost 90 kgs i got down 8 kgs during the year and then had the sleeve done in December last year,i had other issues with the weight preventing foot surgery to heal and not being able to walk, cholesterol was getting too high etc.Now i am down to 62 kgs so i am down 18 kgs since mid Dec 2012 and if i can lose another 8 kgs i will be back to what i was years ago and well within a healthy weight range for my short height.

I am also a shorty,

I usually round up my height to 155cm (I can weigh a bit more then! :P) But I am probably 153-154cm. I weigh about 126kg, which makes my BMI 52. I need to lose about 71kg. :/

I have just started looking into the sleeve operation, after considering the band for last couple of years (had to wait til I could afford it). I think I would prefer the sleeve, but I am not sure I can afford more than a couple of weeks off work, as I am self employed, and a single parent (no work = no income)

After losing 56 kilos I have finally made it to the over weight range! When I started my BMI was 55, it is now 35.

I have another 18 to go to a healthy weight range.

Hi Bellshell,

I'll put my hand up for that one :)

I'm 163cm, 10 months out, lost 68kg so far, 24kg to go.

I follow a fairly well defined food and exercise regime, which has worked well for me so far. I am hoping/planning to get where I want to be by Christmas, so that will be 92kg in 16 months, all things going well.

Well, 10mths out and I've lost 44kg. Still short, lol. Still size 18. Gosh, I get envious of those who are taller, because I would look so much thinner (and wear a smaller size) if I were even 5-10cm taller!

10kg there abouts to my goal of 75kg, its remarkable, but I'm disappointed I haven't lost more. Weight loss has really slowed down the last couple of months. I'm beginning to fear that cracking 80kg might not happen :(

I have lost 48kilos in 11 months, but still have another 28 to go. Any other shorties that have around the 70 kilos to loose or have lost?

Also have a look at Kalgirls diary. I think she was 152cms or around me. She was my inspiration and I think from memory lost 50kgs. She was a very good girl tho and rocked it.

I'm 155cm TALL. I have lost 37 kgs. I am still overweight according to my bmi. I have been sleeved two years on 23rd September and my weight hovers around 62 kgs without any effort on my part. To be normal bmi I should be 59kgs or less. I would eventually like to get down to around 55kgs and for my height could go as low as 45kgs apparently. But I am in a size 10 jeans (loose) and 10-12 tops, still have all my curvy bits and my boobs so am very happy to be here. One day I might motivate myself and lose a bit more but just enjoying life too much to worry.

It will happen. Make sure to use the first 6-12 months to lose as much as you can as it does slow down and bad habits creep back in. :)
