also 2 litres water or diet cordial.........
also can have diet jelly.

this is from my surgeons dietitian.

have discovered a lemon lime and bitters diet cordial so makes drinking 2 litres easy.
have never drink anything but water before....... T1 diabetic.....
i do drink tea nd coffee and have in the past indulged in a drink or (hic) or 2......

breakfast was toast with sliced tomato......
then i had tea lol
did not eat again until i got haome, was at the hospital with my mum.
had veggie soup
then some lettuce and poached eggs on top.
now i feel too full and sick.... lol

take care all.

Agree - eat the 2cups of veggies with some steamed chicken breast or fish that is high protein, low carb, low calorie. There are lots of high protein/low carb recipe websites.

Hi BG

If you're allergic to opti, and all shakes are going to be the same for you, it might be worth going on a very, very low carb, fat and calorie diet instead. Just find out how many carbs/fats/calories you would have had on opti and figure your diet out that way. It's the low carbing with opti that gets rid of the fat around your liver anyway.
All the best!

Hi Laila

Really feel for you....is the opti why you have been getting so sick? I thought you had started taking it early on before the surgery...

I have no good suggestions at all..sounds like you are doing the right thing with the veges. Please look after yourself in the next few weeks and make sure you post regularly on the list -- even from your hospital bed. I know I will be very nervous until I hear that you are home and getting healthier and healthier each day....
