When by the time you have sat down to eat your lunch you are too full to eat it, 'cos you picked at it while you were making it!
Oh well.

When the food for two Foster Rescue Greyhounds takes up more room in the 'fridge than the food for you.

I hope that they like the Thai Chicken Coconut Soup (Kha Gai)  that I had made and hadn't got around to having (a whole container full).
My new boy - (he came on Thurs and my lovely long-term foster girl  - 8 months! and such a good "all-rounder, but was overlooked as she was 5 and black and white coloured -  went to her "forever" home - yay!) -  thinks that he is STARVING, and I reckon that he will appreciate my cooking. Nom-nom for him! Nothing in there that is toxic, and all made by me, including the duck stock!

I can't even put a percentage figure on how it makes me feel!
I get quite startled sometimes when I see a reflection of myself.

My so-called-"smart phone" - which I don't use anyway, doesn't have a secondary camera, so I have to rely on friends taking photos of me on theirs and emailing them to me! otherwise I'd post one.  Oh well, next time!

Hey @aussiearies!  I am giant next to you!  I am 153.5 cm, or thereabouts!

For all you cold people, I have been a fan of Kathmandu Ultracore Thermal long sleeved tops and long-johns for years.  I found them great for field work, in that they don't "grab" your trousers nor restrict your movements.  I only buy their stuff on special as I think that they (Kathmandu) are VERY overpriced.
I wear both sets of thermals, both during the day under other clothes including jeans, and at night under my flannelette pjs.
Then I layer up, like an onion.  I haunt Op Shops, and have found some good bargains e.g. merino jumpers (usually though I can't wear them next to my skin - I get itchy).  I have gained some really nice, 'trendy" - well I think they are!  - clothes this winter season!  But now, with my new shape, as a friend said, I can wear anything (and feel confident).  Happy days!  :)

Yeah! I know how you feel!
In all my adult life, I have never looked as good as I do now.

You know you're a winter sleever when:

It gets so cold and you go to your wardrobe and realise that no matter how much op shopping you have done, you have studiously avoided buying ANYTHING baggy or warm (as in, trackies and jumpers) as it reminds you too much of when you were really, really big...and then you FREEZE for the rest of the night and realise that there needs to be balance, and why the hell didn't I keep some big baggy warm clothes for winter!!  (take heed newbies)

Haha this is hilarious! You know I think you hit the nail on the head with that thinking - as soon as I grow out of clothes I'll want to throw them out as I want to embrace the time I don't have to wear looser bigger clothes and want to start wearing smaller clothes asap!

I MUST remember to keep SOME warmer baggier clothes for lounging around and for colder nights lol

You know you're a sleever when...

The weathers turning cold but last season's Winter clothes are so baggy that you can't wear them and you are in desperate need of a wardrobe replenishment.

OH, yeah --> and you know you're a SHORT ASS sleever when...

You try to do a Winter wardrobe replenishment and everything you look at has sleeves that go down past your knees, so you keep recycling the same 2 sleeveless cardies, 4 tops and some black tights, hoping that nobody notices that you are wearing the same outfits all the time. LOL!

HAHAHA - I love these!

Or when they ask you what you like to drink and you say, Im fine thanks... Ive learnt its just easier to say I will have water thanks lol

I like to order something like a chicken fillet burger or a steak sandwich, I eat as much as possible out of the middle then rebuild it, then watch the waiters get all flustered when they come to collect your plate because they dont believe there was nothing WRONG with the meal lol

...when you are meeting your friend at the movies, going to the food hall later for lunch, and take your own can of fish and some sliced cheese 'cos you know that all the servings for sale will be too large!
You KNOW much as you lust after something on offer, after a couple of mouthfuls you have had...enough.

Haha these are all really good and I can't wait until I'm at the stage of identifying with these (surgery isn't until 15th June). I especially like the "...you get a bad case of chafing from a pair of loose undies instead of fat thighs" lol! That'll be the day I hope for, I walk my dog everyday and if its a hot day then its a fun walk just for my dog but not so fun for me!

You know you're a sleever when...

...the clothes you just bought are already getting too big for you :P

...you walk into a room and people try to look you up and down without you noticing - but you do :)

...you're really thirsty after dinner but have to wait 45 minutes for hydration :(

...you get a bad case of chafing from a pair of loose undies instead of fat thighs

...your fat doesn't act like collagen on your face wrinkles anymore >?<

...your eyes ARE actually bigger than your stomach (lol)

ooh yes, I'm agreeing with the preop haunting of the chemist stocking up on optifast products. Also madly googling recipes to try to find some ways of making nearly 6 weeks of low fat low carb vegies more interesting.

now I'm nearly 6 months postop and down 38kg, my undies are falling down under my trousers. My bra cups are gaping. I'm wearing a polar fleece jacket inside my work office. And tonight I'm going to eat out with the family, and take my own plastic tub for the 2/3 of my meal I won't be able to fit in.
